I bought an older home a number of years ago and recently had an electrical emergency. I called Affordable Electric primarily because of their name. Nick was able to come and address the problem the same afternoon I called. He found some very serious problems with the circuit breaker box. Nick told me why the box needed replacement and showed me indications that my house had been in jeopardy of having an electrical fire. He also identified other work that needed to be done in order to bring my old home up to standards established by the state electrical code. He was able to explain in understandable language why the improvements were essential. He was able to replace the breaker box the very same day and we scheduled the other, less critical work for another day. He kept in touch with me over the next couple weeks and we scheduled a second appointment for the final phase of the work. He and his associate arrived on time for the second phase and worked efficiently and effectively. Both were pleasant and courteous. I now feel safe in my home, my electricity is working perfectly and I am pleased with the experience I had with Affordable Electric. One last very important detail: I contacted other electrical contractors (and talked to my son-in-law) about the condition of my electrical system and the estimated costs for making the recommended repairs. The estimates from other companies in the Twin cities area were 50% to 65% higher than what it cost me to have the work done by Affordable Electric. I would enthusiastically recommend them to others needing electrical repairs.
